Driven by his mother's genealogical research, filmmaker Peter Moraldo and his family journey to the former Gottschee region in present-day Slovenia. Guided by the memories of his grandfather, whose voice accompanies the film, they search for the remaining traces of a lost homeland and rediscover a family history shaped by displacement, memory, and belonging.
